"The Adventures of Betty Smith" is a security awareness training course for a large professional services firm. It consits of five episodes of animatics, high-quality drawings with dialogue and music. Drawings will be similar in style to “working woman” comics such as “Brenda Starr” and soap opera comics like “Mary Worth.”
Betty Smith is the main character. She is around 30, hard-working, professional, optimistic, plucky and determined. She is the only security-conscious employee at her professional services firm, and depsite the odds, she is determined to teach her colleagues how to protect confidential information.
The episodes detail her ongoing adventures in an engaging, melodramatic soap opera style.

That call I just got was from a man at a government agency. He needs information about the Dharain pipeline deal. I’m going to give him the documents from the International Oil engagement. Can you believe it – a government agent! Calling me!
BETTY
Don’t you think that sounds a little suspicious, Brad?
BRAD
What do you mean?
BETTY
How do you know that man is really a government agent? Don’t you think International Oil’s competitors would love to get information about the deal? Maybe that’s what’s going on.
BRAD
Not security again, Betty! You’re always obsessed with keeping confidential information confidential! This is my chance to do something for our country. It’s a matter of national security!
BETTY
Oh, Brad, you’ve always been so patriotic. But there are bad people out there who can take advantage of you.
BRAD
You’re not going to ruin this for me, Betty. I’m going to help save the country, and you – you can stay here and memorize passwords!
BETTY
Actually, Brad, that’s a good idea. You should memorize your password and never write it down.
BRAD
You’ll never change will you, Betty. See you later.
