VO: Welcome to another addition of Behind the Ball, where today we’re going to uncover one of New Jersey Lottery’s great mysteries. Namely which geographic area has the most winners?

VO: As anyone who lives in the Garden State is aware, New Jersey is unofficially divided in half. North And South. One state; two different mindsets.

VO: North has hoagies; South, heroes. North, sprinkles; South, jimmies.
North, Taylor Ham; South, pork roll. And of course, there is the great lottery debate.

VO: Talk to anyone in the North and they’ll say the South always seems to win. Talk to anyone in the South and they’ll say the North always wins.
So, to clear up this conundrum “Behind the Ball” did a little research. The results may surprise you. Drumroll please. (SFX: DRUMROLL) It’s virtually equal. How is that possible? Let’s look at this colorful chart.

VO: Simply put, the North has a larger percentage of the population

VO: Therefore when you compare the numbers of game winners based on population you’ll realize the amount is pretty much equal. That’s right.

VO: Will this monumental discovery stop the eternal bickering between counties? Of course not. This is New Jersey. But that’s what makes our state interesting.

So wherever you happen to live, from Secaucus to Stone Harbor, keep playing the New Jersey Lottery, and give your dreams a chance.
Good luck, and we’ll see you again at Behind the Ball.
