Project Main Details
Chris is about 25 years old and he has no particular accent, other than North American. He is the main character in the story and has the most lines. He is smart, possibly even a Nerd.
This will be a challenging role to play because there will be lots of technical scientific words. Most likely whoever takes this role will need to actually read the whole book (which I will send as a Word document) to get the idea of the character before actually doing the recording. It is a short book since it was designed to be an audio story, so you can probably read the whole thing in a couple of hours.
I will supply a version of the novel (MS Word format) where all of Chris' lines are highlighted in yellow, which will make it easier to figure out which parts you need to speak after selection.
This will require somebody who is good with drama and acting. If the narration says he is trying to catch his breath, then you'd need to be breathing hard while saying those lines. If it says he laughed, then you'll need to laugh, etc. 2010-04-29 11:36:32 GMT 2010-04-30 08:18:05 (GMT -06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed - Note: This project was manually closed by the voice seeker before it reached its original deadline. 0 0 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. Chris typed on the keyboard some more and said, “okay, now we let the computer do its thing.” If anyone had been floating out in space where they could see the outside of the ship, they would have seen a small radar-looking dish and telescope emerge from the hull and start moving around. Chris continued to explain, “The computer is going to use a combination of a radio telescope and an optical telescope and it is going to scan the solar system for planets. It may take several hours because the easiest way to identify planets at this distance is their movement pattern, because they will move in a pattern to orbit the sun”
Amy chuckled at him, “Thank you Bill Nye the science guy.”
“Sorry,” replied Chris, “I wasn’t trying to patronize you, I just wanted you to know why we were going to have to sit here for a few hours. I mean, I know it only takes seconds on Star Trek and all.”
Amy laughed, “Do I like like the kind of person that would watch Star Trek?”
Chris shrugged his shoulders and said, “no, no I guess not.”
