Audio Book on the Civil War ZDLTK494011176269X
This is an audio book on the civil war being produced for a non-profit organization. The content is already being used as supplemental curriculum at the high school level. The content is divided into 18 sections.
The voice talent should be able to provide edited voice tracks, ready to publish as high quality mp3 files. Each section of the content should be provided as a complete audio track by the voice talent.
Knowledge of correct pronunciation of names relevant to the historical people and places is essential. Talent should also be available to briefly discuss each section by phone prior to recording each.
A job well done will likely lead to other projects for both audio books and radio commercials.
Sample text is provided below for those talents who wish to submit an audition. Although encouraged, auditions are not required for talents who have audio book or narration samples on their voice123 profile pages.

Following the end of the French and Indian Wars, Great Britain became the most powerful nation in the world. The colonies in the Americas were proud of the British accomplishments and did their fair share to contribute to the success of the English domination. Laws restricting American trade and commerce gave the colonists growing dissatisfaction with their role in the British Empire. Laws that were considered unjust, particular taxing laws, caused great dissention. The imposition of taxes and other restrictive laws eventually resulted in the colonists revolting against their once beloved homeland. At first it was a battle to secure the full rights as British citizens, but later it turned into a fight for independence from Great Britain. Each colony within the Americas raised its own militia and regulated operations within its borders independent of the others states.
