Audio Book About Podcasting ZD82064
Wanted by Nationally Known Podcasting and Media Company - One fresh male voice and one fresh female voice to alternate reading chapters of an audio book that is a "how to" manual about podcasting. The book is rather long and does contain some technical jargon. It is primarily aimed at the younger set who are very much into computers and all things tech. The book is written in a light-hearted, humorous style. Therefore, the voices have to be somewhat animated and playful, but not over the top! There is a lot of information put forth, so the voices will have to use varied inflection and make a conscious effort to hold the audience's attention. The tone needs to be conversational and at the same time engaging - a rather fine line to maintain. The expectation is that audio files will arrive already "fixed" (self-corrected/edited) and ready to be published. I do not wish to go through multiple rounds of fixes that have to go back and forth. If you can make humorous "geek speak" sound interesting, then this project is for you.

Back in the mists of pre-history, about 1987, MTV hired a photogenic gent with long, flowing blonde hair and a shiny jacket worn with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows. At that time, the network played music videos and needed a video jockey (VJ) to introduce the clips. Difficult as it may be for readers of a certain age to believe, fast forward 20 years and this same guy, ************has become one of the founding fathers of the podcast. Call him The Podfather, if you like.
What exactly did Adam do that was so spectacular? Well, in 2003, in a shining example of do-it-yourself ingenuity and with no special training in computer programming, Curry cobbled together the world’s first “podcatching” client program. In the process, he managed to harness the power of the recently created enclosed-media tags embedded in RSS 2.0 feeds. This stroke of genius made his new podcast show available for anyone to download at any time.
Don’t start gnawing your fingernails if you’re not familiar with terms such as RSS 2.0 or podcatching client, or enclosed-media tags. Before you’ve gone much further in this book, you’ll be intimate with them. Your takeaway here? It's impossible to discuss the early days of podcasting without paying homage to***********
