Project Main Details

Attack at Michilimackinac
We're looking for a total of 3 voice-overs (one person per voice) that represent Native Americans in the late 1700s. The client wants a slight accent, but nothing like Tonto from the Lone Ranger.

One person is supposed to be in their late-20s; another mid-30s and another about 40.

I am including portions of all three scripts. Please read ONLY the one you would like to be considered for and identify it in your audio audition.

We hope to make our selection within the next 2-3 weeks.

Pontiac (age 40)

‘It is important for us, my brothers, that we exterminate from our lands this nation which seeks only to destroy us. You see as well as I that we can no longer supply our needs.... Therefore, my brothers, we must all swear their destruction and wait no longer. Nothing prevents us; they are few in numbers, and we can accomplish it.’

Minweweh (mid-30s)

“When I received word of Pontiac’s intentions to attack Detroit, I set my mind to the capture of Michilimackinac. It could not be easily done; the walls of the fort are high, and the soldiers well-armed and numerous. I realized that we must outsmart the English rather than overpower them.”

Madjeckewiss (late-20s)

“Together, we assembled 400 warriors to surprise the English soldiers. So as not to arouse the suspicions of the soldiers, these men would play baggatiway, or as the French call it, lacrosse, just outside the fort walls. All would appear normal.”
