It’s all around us.

In our homes, in rivers and lakes, in the ground and in the sky.

It sustains all life on earth — plants, microbes, and animals.

It’s even inside us. Our bodies are two-thirds water.

[NOTE FOR NARRATOR: A youth’s face peers at the camera.
More faces look at the camera, old and young, all ages and ethnicities. The narrator speaks increasingly faster as she/he reads the following list. On camera will be a flicker of images illustrate people using/enjoying water in abundance.
These images similarly speed up to the beat of the narration. END NOTE]

We need water to live.
To brush our teeth
Wash our hands
Water our lawn
And clean.

Have you ever stopped to think about where all this water comes from?

Turn on a faucet — and there it is.

Water is part of nature’s cycle.

It is always moving, evaporating, sinking, swirling.

The water we receive, use, and return to nature – dirty or clean – flows endlessly through this cycle.

The water you showered with this morning may have irrigated crops in Vietnam last year.

The tap water you used last night to brush your teeth perhaps once came from an African well.

The rain pattering on your street may have been served in a café in Ecuador before you were born.

We all share the same water.

That’s why it’s imperative that we protect this precious resource.

We in Sanitation, along with our partners, are doing what we can to care for our water.

But we can’t do it alone. This is where you come in.

Become a water warrior…
…an eco-ambassador…
…a champion of the oceans.

It’s easier than you think.

Let’s keep our water healthy before we pass it on.

Because it belongs to all of us.
