This part is for an animation character for an educational animation piece for children. This will be on DVD and eventually will be for sale.
The character we are casting for is DOODLE. Doodle is a kangaroo between the ages of 5 to 10 years old. Doodle is a boy. However, gender for this age of character is ambiguous. So women are welcome to audition. Just keep in mind that we do not want a feminine character.

Man you’re a monster! Remember to stretch before you lift now!
The kids begin to look bored (DOODLE & OOGIE)
DOODLE
Hey Uncle Dex, can we look around?
Dex
OK… but don’t get into any trouble
DOODLE
We won’t!
Scene 3
DOODLE runs up to the boxing ring and peers over the edge. A sound causes him to turn around to see his friend, Oogie, struggling to reach a punching bag.
DOODLE
Woah! Cool!
DOODLE grabs the steps used for the boxing ring and pushes them over to the speedbag.
Oogie (trying to hit bag)
Uh! Ah!
DOODLE
Hey, you’re too short Oogie!
DOODLE grabs a crate and places it on top of the stairs.
DOODLE
There, this should do it!
Scene 4
DEX
Now kids, a gym is no place for fun and games. You could really get hurt if you’re not careful.
DOODLE
I’m sorry. We were just trying to hit the punching bag.
Scene 5
Oogie
You’re not scared are you?
DOODLE
Are you kidding Oogie? My uncle would knock his block off!
Dex
Now wait a minute boys. I don’t want any talk like that.
A smug looking Weasel (JOEY) smiles.
Joey
So… you’ll knock his block off eh?
Dex
He said that, not me!
DOODLE and Oogie put their fists up in the air like they’re boxing.
DOODLE
Go on Uncle Dex! You can do it!
Dex
Doodle, That’s enough!
Scene 6
DOODLE bounds into the ring towards his uncle.
DOODLE
Yay! You Won! You won! I knew you could do it! But why didn’t you ever try to hit him? I bet you could’ve knocked him out anytime you wanted to.
Dex
Well Doodle, I was trying to prove a point to you. Boxing is a discipline. Power isn’t about knocking someone’s block off. Real power is about having the ability to knock someone’s block off, but choosing not to.
