Script Details

This is a video done for a local NGO aiming at preserving and taking care of animals against bad treatment. They are doing this short animation to raise awareness.
We love animals, and we care about their welfare.

Animal welfare is about big concepts and international obligations and it is about making local improvements that bring real benefits.

More than 40 million animals are raised in farms each year.

Regulating farms directly helps the millions of animals, giving them the care they need and preventing the worst abuse.

And when these animals are healthy, food quality and safety is improved, and small farmers – more than 70% of them classified as poor – can be lifted from poverty.

All zoos in Lebanon fall far below international standards. Improving zoos means the highly endangered animals kept there are healthy, acting as they would in the wild.

Zoos can help conserve nature, and fight against smuggling.

They become a place where children can learn about animals, develop a relationship with them, and remind us how our fate is intertwined.

Regulations for responsible guardianship can protect cats and dogs, domesticated animals that have been with us for thousands of years.

Improvements that can reduce conflicts or bites, prevent rabies, and reunite guardians with lost or stolen cats and dogs.

In pet shops and slaughter houses, experimentation and transport,
wherever animals are kept there is abuse, neglect, suffering.

But for every problem there is an opportunity – an opportunity to help animals and the people that depend on them.

Animal welfare is human welfare – what is good for them is good for us. The two cannot be separated.

We know how much you love animals – the furry ones, the cuddly ones, the silly ones, the ones that greet you when you come home.

And when you support animal welfare, take a wider look - you are supporting a better Lebanon for everyone!
