Project Main Details

Anchorman Intro
Attached you will find an audio file of the actual Anchorman intro as well as the script for our parody. If you listen to the entire audio file, it has two VO talentsÂ… one being the intro VO and one the newscast VO (introducing the news team at end). We are looking for similar VO talent to recreate the intro per our new script. We just need VO reads as we will be reconstructing our own parody intro with music and sound effects etc. Could you please pull together auditions/samples and estimates for this project? We for sure want to find a similar voice for the intro VO but can be flexible on the newscast VO

Breakout Intro (2-3 minutes)

VO (intro):
There was a time, a time before cable,
when the local anchorman reigned supreme,
when people believed everything they heard from their competitors.

And in Orlando, one anchorman
was more man than the rest.
His name was Joe Burgundy.

He was like a god
walking amongst mere mortals.
He had products that could
make a surgeon purr,
and suits so fine
they made Frank Sinatra
look like a hobo.

In other words,
Joe Burgundy was the bomb.

When the clock struck 6
it meant one thing for Joe Burgundy and his news team:
Go time.

VO (cast introductions):
Channel 1 News,
with five-time Emmy award-winning anchor Joe Burgundy.

With co anchor_Jenn Corningstone

Clup Kind, sports.

Trent Tamland, weather.

Reporting from the field,
Eric Fantana.

And your News Director
Matt Harken

It's Channel 1 News at 6.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
