Airline safety announcement
Airline safety announcement spoof for videogame intro

This script is designed to be the introductory, animated segment in a college-level educational video game. The segment will be in the style of an airline safety announcement. As the artwork will be completed after the voice work is completed, at this point, the "flight attendant" may be either male or female.
We look forward to hearing your best flight attendant impressions!

Welcome on board. Our game today is under the command of Captain Emma [Picture of Emma in a captain hat] – that is you… and you, Emma, are in complete control of your game. Well, you are in control, but you’re not really a captain. [Captain hat disappears, replaced by a lanyard and coffee cup with the NSA logo behind her] You work in Human Resources at North-South Airlines or NSA. You hope to be a future captain of industry. But right now you are trying to become really good at strategy while balance a demanding job and your married life. No strategy expert said life was fair…ever….
While we are here to ensure that you do have an enjoyable game with us today, we are also concerned about your learning. With that in mind, we ask that you take the Information Card out of the seat pocket in front of you and follow along as we point out the learning features of this game.

One of the more important learning devices on this game is your phone tablet--or phablet. You should explore this device extensively to see what you can learn. Then, after you press the “close phone” button, you can begin to look around the gate area of the airport. Remember, you may open and close the phablet whenever you like during the duration of the game.

Please feel free to wander about the gate area and speak with others—in fact, you’ll want to. You may interact with any character highlighted when you drag your mouse over them. But do note that you will only be able to speak to each person once.

When the User ID sign illuminates [seat belt “ding”], you must insert your pre-assigned identification into the appropriate field . This will not be your name in the game—remember, we told you, you are Emma [flash a picture of Emma again]—this ID is simply used to track your learning during the game.

Should you experience an emergency—existential or more mundane, there are emergency exits in this game. In some cases, your nearest exit may be behind you…but probably not. However, the “escape” key will allow you to pause or end the game at any time.

And in the event of serious turbulence or uncertainty, an oxygen mask will not drop down in front of you… but we do recommend taking some deep breaths. In fact, this game is designed for turbulence and uncertainty—it is meant to be a puzzle. If this were a real business strategy emergency, you would have to find the necessary information to make decisions on your own—in real life, there will be no textbook. Nevertheless, at times, there will be ‘Help” or “Question Mark” buttons that may drop from the overhead compartment… or somewhere…onto your screen. Knowledge-assisting emergency lighting will guide you: for instance, you can click on words underlined in red to add to your knowledge and enjoyment.

Also, should your flight be delayed, you will receive a text and your estimated time of departure will be extended.

Now, in preparation for takeoff, please ensure that your seat back and ego are in their full uptight and play positions, your seat belt is securely fastened and all your carry-on items are securely stowed. Federal Education Regulations require customers to comply with the all lighted player information signs and instructions.
Please observe the fasten seatbelt or any other lighted instruction signs until they have been turned off. And do keep in mind that you will not be able to remember everything in this game—as in real life, there is just too much information available—so focus on what you believe is most important.
Now, we ask that you neither sit back nor relax. Please have an enjoyable game.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
