Project Main Details

I wrote a 225 page tradepaperback novel. The title is ************************************************************************* To view the synopsis you can go here ****************** if you would like to see a sample of the writing go to and download the sample. I am a father of six. My oldest is 8 and youngest is 2. We adopted and ended up finding out that we were pregnant at the exact same time, twice! So, three boys and three girls, all under 9. I am taking 25 credits this semester and work full-time for Michigan State University. The book has been very well recieved because of the fresh new take on the possiblity of a pandemic with a cure, and the popularity of the Walking Dead. However, I haven't sold enough to make it profitible yet. I have had several people contact me through my fan page who are blind and asked if it could be made into an audio book. I am not sure that it is something I can afford, but I thought I would do my best to explore the option for them. I have book two of the series about 45% completed, so there is the posibility that if book one is succesful, I would be able to have a better budget to repeat the process for book 2. I don't know much about the voice industry, but I am willing to work it out if it is reasonable.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

The closer he got to their destination, the louder the intermittent sounds of gunfire became. The scene outside of the school was horrific. A group of kids, who must have once been playing basketball on the blacktop court, were being devoured by a group of men in military uniforms. The soldiers were dripping with blood. One of them stood up from a barely-distinguishable, child-sized corpse, and leaned his head back. He looked like he was about to gargle mouthwash. Instead he shook his head back and forth, coaxing hunks of flesh the rest of the way into his mouth without using his hands. Seconds later, blood spattered from the back of his head, sending him to his knees. Another bullet, from one of the upper windows of the school building, tore through his chest. Keegan slowed the van to a crawl and watched as more of the bloody attackers succumbed to the shots from above.
At least someone is inside… safe.
“Get down back there. Stay away from the windows. I’m going to try to get close to the entrance.”
Keegan pulled into the crescent drive at the front of the school. He slouched in his seat until his view of the wandering killers was only a sliver between the steering wheel and the dash. Slowly, he drove up onto the grass and over to the front of the building. He stopped and poked his head up, just enough to get a better view of their current surroundings. The closest one was at least a few yards away, an elderly woman in a lunch-lady uniform, sitting next to the flagpole with a severed head resting upside-down between her legs. She reached through the neck, into the skull, pulled out a fist full of brain matter, and plunged it into her mouth.
Feeling safe enough to sit up, he leaned over to the passenger seat, refocused his eyes, and squinted through the first-floor classroom window. At first it was difficult to put the picture together and take in the images. A chill rushed over him when it finally materialized into the lifeless bloodthirsty stares of four children crowded into the window sill, gnashing their teeth at him and leaving bloody streaks as they clawed at the glass. Looming behind them, he could see a man in a shirt and tie, nibbling on the fingertips of a child’s severed arm.
