Wind Water Earth and fire the Four Elements of Life.
Perhaps more than any other living thing, trees have mastered the fine rhythm necessary to thrive amid the wind, the water, the Earth and fire.
Wind rustles through trees branches, invigorating them and helping to cast seeds upon the plain so more life, more vibrancy, more trees can root and grow. In return, trees produce oxygen, helping to sustain the planet and its inhabitants.
Water in the form of rain nourishes trees roots, allowing it to grow strong, sturdy and tall.
Earth shares its nutrients and tree responds by dropping her leaves each fall, returning those nutrients to the soil.
And fire ? Fire can destroy a tree yet it is the very process of burning -- Mother Natures calculated, periodic delivery of lightning that ignites and thins the forest -- enriching the forest bed, opening up portals ofor sunlight, and making way for younger seedlings which, in time, will grow to be mighty oaks.
There are thousands of species of trees all uniquely different but sharing the same characteristic of adaptability adaptability to the demands of the land, the climate, and the Four Elements of Life. Adaptability to change a capacity to grow and become stronger to perform a graceful waltz of persistence, determination and resiliency.

As with the human race, trees come in all forms and shapes each possessing special traits and characteristics that permit it to take root, establish a strong base, and grow strong, sturdy and tall.

It is for good reason man has adopted the tree as a treasured symbol -- the Tree of Life The Family Tree even The Christmas Tree -- for trees are the very essence of sustained success, determination and growth in an ever-changing world.

Palms sway and bend amid the fiercest storms

And Aspens a stand of glorious Aspens with a single, connected root system, making it the largest organism on the planet a fine example of interdependence and reliance on one another.
Even in the Texas Hill Country, where you are today, a variety of uniquely different trees come together and add to the richness, the beauty and sustainability of this region the Hackberry, Live Oak, Red Oak, Bur Oak, Texas Persimmon, Ashe Juniper, Mountain Laurel, Mexican Buckeye and Red Bud.
