We are recreating the words to an animation. It's for a sales conference in the business world.
Please see the trailer of A Sharks Tale on youtube or somewhere online to see the character we are trying to mimic. It's for the role of the "older brother shark"...not Deniro, not Jack Black,,,the olther guy. Need a good Italian Mafia voice...he's probably about 35 or so. INTRO VOICE OVER (Low Movie Trailer Voice):
For thousands of years the deep waters of Atlantis have been run by a family of sharks that will stop at nothing to control their territory. Let’s just say this “family business” has a BITE of a reputation in the retirement and financial waters. These sharks feed on rollovers and this family has grown fat and happy off of the business they've eaten up over the years, especially from the *** Retirement species, who used to feed on only schools of fish. This family of sharks is led by the patriarch, Fidelity, and his two sons, Merrill and Eddie Jones. Together, they are the biggest Sharks in the water...until now.
Fade Up
On an Italian restaurant deep in the water. We hear “That’s Amore” playing in the background. Two Large Sharks (Fidelity and Merrill —father and son) sit ready to eat dinner when another Shark (Eddie Jones—youngest son) comes in frantic...
EDDIE JONES
Dad, MERRILL, oh my God, we gotta talk! We gotta talk!
FIDELITY
Relax kid, relax, sit down, have some scampi?
EDDIE JONES
I saw, I uh, there’s a new shark in the waters. I swam into him yesterday!
(as MERRILL tells about his confrontation with the new shark, we mix in footage of Bruce swimming with the sharks video)
MERRILL
So, take care of him. What, you don’t know what to do? Dad pass the vino?
EDDIE JONES
I tried! I’m telling you, I brought like 50 of the boys yesterday down to his cove to scare him off, but he just played with us and taunted us. We gave him looks, showed him some teeth, but he didn’t flinch. The guy is ice I’m telling you, ice!
MERRILL
Well you didn’t show him the big teeth. Wait til I get down there, I’ll take care of him.
EDDIE JONES
I don’t think so Merrill, this shark was different. Said his name was Bruce, and someone said he is from the *** family of Sharks.
FIDELITY
The hell did you just say?
EDDIE JONES
He’s an *** Retirement shark.
FIDELITY
Oh…my…
MERRILL
What, what’s the big deal, so we take him out?
(the nice Italian restaurant music slowly changes to the Jaws theme)
FIDELITY
Take him out? You don’t understand. My father, rest his soul, once told me about the ***. I always thought it was just a myth, a fairy tale. But if it’s true,
and an *** Retirement Shark is here in our waters, we’ll have to get serious.
EDDIE JONES
But, dad, you...
FIDELITY
I mean there are trillions of roll over dollars out there right now ready to be eaten up.
EDDIE JONES
Dad, he said...
FIDELITY
Don’t interrupt me kid. We gotta think of a plan to blow him out of the water.
EDDIE JONES
But pop, but I’m telling you...
MERRILL
Eddie! Shut up, we gotta strategize on how to take this guy out!
EDDIE JONES
He’s not alone!
FIDELITY
What did you say?
EDDIE JONES
I hear he is bringing 290 of his best *** sharks with him this week. They are coming to rally around what they say will be the biggest rollover feeding frenzy in history. And they are all swimming here...today!
FIDELITY
My own worse nightmare.
MERRILL
We’re chum in the water.
(fade to Bruce waving to the camera then back to the sharks, logo animation appears for the show and then music stops. And we here in the blackness…)
EDDIE JONES
Dad.
FIDELITY
Yea kid.
EDDIE JONES
I love you.
FIDELITY
Shut up kid
(we hear the beginning of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and then our Voice Over Announcer comes back on, screen just has the event logo on it.)
VOICEOVER
Ladies and Gentlemen, *** Retirement family of sharks. Are you ready to go on a feeding frenzy? Ehem. I said, are you ready to go on a feeding frenzy? Then put your hands together. And stand to your feet. I don’t hear you! I still don’t hear you? There, that’s better.
Now *** Sharks, please welcome to the stage, your President and CEO. The Great White Shark himself ... ************. Partial script for audition:
MERRILL
