Project Main Details

A Better Tomorrow audiobook
I'm a self published author and I'm interested in creating an audio book for my latest novel. There's a lot of different characters and dialogue in my book so I will need someone to capture those voices well and sound authentic. My novel is 39,066 words. The book is currently available at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. As a self published author, I think an audio book will help spark a larger interest in my novel especially for people who don't have the time or desire to read. With a good audio book, I'm hoping to take it to the next level.

Script Details

There's a lot of different characters and dialogue in my book so I will need someone to capture those voices well and sound authentic.
Jordan held a door open and looked into the room.

“Angel!” he exclaimed with joy.

He saw Angelica in the room, hooked up to the IV.

“Jordan?” she said with great fear in her voice.

“You're awake?”

Angelica tried to lift her head. “What's happening?”

Weston killed two of the guards. One fell to the floor and another fell fast through the broken window into the operating room. The other guards crouched behind the wall.

“Come on!” shouted Weston.

“Get outta there!” Jordan yelled to Angelica.

Angelica tried to get up but she didn't have the strength. She was still too weak.

“We'll come back,” Weston said in a panic. “Lets go!”

Jordan ran into her room.

“Damn it!” Weston exclaimed and ran off, not waiting for them.

Jordan ripped the IV out of her arm, picked her up and carried her out of the room in his arms. They walked out into the hall right into the view of the guards. The security guards stepped over the dead body on the floor and opened fire on them as they ran away. They turned the corner out of sight.

“In here,” Weston shouted, holding a door open to a supply closet.

Jordan ducked into the dark storage room with Weston and sat Angelica down on a stool. Weston closed the door and it latched and automatically locked. As soon as the door closed, the doorknob immediately rattled as someone beat on the door.

“What do I do, man?” asked Weston in a panic. “I'm in one of those rooms. How do I wake up?”

“I don't know.”

“What you mean? You did it. How do you not know?”

“I just woke up. I don't know.”

“What’s going on?” asked Angelica.

“It’s confusing,” replied Jordan.

“There’s two of me,” answered Weston. “The real me is lying unconscious in one of those beds somewhere. Right here, the person you see, this ain’t me. This is me but not now. This self I’m in now, I’m in the past. I had to wait ‘til I was in that bed, to catch up to the day I joined this experiment.”

“I told you, it barely makes sense,” said Jordan.

“No,” she said. “I get it.”

They all breathed heavily in a panic. As they stopped talking, amongst their heavy breathing, Weston turned his attention to the door as it was continuously being slammed into. Weston looked at Jordan, anticipating his answer, not knowing how to wake up like they did.

“You gotta kill yourself,” she announced.

Bullets suddenly ricocheted off the door. They all hid their faces.

“That's how I woke up,” she continued. “I died. We both did. Once you die in the past, in this body you’re in, your soul, consciousness, whatever- it moves back to your original body. You’ll wake up in your bed.”

They watched the door as bullets continued to hit it.
Weston, with apprehension and fear in his eyes said, “I'm gonna at least make it worth while.”
