This is my first day here.
It’s not home, but I guess it
will do. Everyone seems pretty
nice, especially a young man,
Brodey.
Rosemary flips page by page reading slowly and carefully. As she reads each page emotions change, laughs and chuckles, long faces and tears. Rosemary is reading everything about her son that she missed. She turns to the last page.

Brodey seemed more upset than
usual today. He had very little
to say. He wants happines for Rosemary so bad that he will not be happy until she finds it.
He knows how bad his father leaving
affects her. It’s a shame, because
Brodey is going to make such a good
father someday.

Brodey took me to the beach again
today. He loves to watch the sunset.
It reminds him of the time he spent
there with his mother as a child.
I enjoy it too, always so peaceful.
But what really makes me happy is
seeing Brodey at peace for at least
a few moments.
