The tone we want is very enthusiastic and energetic but not pollyanna, not like a car salesperson. Although the topic is serious we want an irreverent, energetic delivery. NOT NPR, not flat, emotional but not over the top.
MUST:
* be available IMMEDIATELY, AS IN TODAY Wednesday, literarlly
* have home recording studio where you can deliver high quality .aiff or mp3 files
* MUST DO A CUSTOM DEMO. We need to hear what you sound like reading our exact script.

Where were you when JFK was shot? Or when the OJ or Rodney King verdicts came down? Or when the World Trade Center was attacked?
The defining moments mentioned before are remembered by recent generations the way San Francsicans of the past century recall the devastating 1906 earthquake and fire. Looking around the rubble they knew life would never be the same. You can see and feel what it must have been like for them through the numerous exhibits going on in the city this month to celebrate the cen-tennial anniversary.
The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art has 100 photographs that put a facade to the destruc-tion. Given the graphic and ubiquitous access we have to depictions of modern day tragedies, its surprising how deeply poignant these very low tech 100 year old black and white photographs can be.
