Project Main Details
We are producers of Language Teaching programs and are currently producing a how to speak French program. For this production we are seeking young, hip upbeat sounding actors that sound between the ages of 22-30. You must be a native of France to ensure proper actor voice over accent.
This voice acting job will require approximately 2 or 3 hours to record and will pay $125/ hour. The session will take place on either May 3rd or May 4th at our midtown recording studio. Please make sure that you are available for this time before auditioning.
The following parts are available:
1 Male French speaker, age 22-30
1 Female French speaker, age 22-30
The audition material should be read somewhat slowly (remember, the listeners do not now the language), should be upbeat and hip sounding. This is a fun book and it should sound that way.
Well alright—you’re on your way.
We will make a selection in about a week..
Good Luck.

Do you speak English?
Parlez-vous anglais? ((pause))
Use this expression sparingly!
((in desparation)) Parlez-vous anglais? ((pause))
This is the polite way to say it—you wouldn’t wanna piss anyone off, now would you?!
Oops! Almost forgot the expression you're gonna need on a daily basis:
Where's the bathroom?
Où est la toilette? ((pause))
Où est la toilette?
Yo! Hé! Here’s a hint, honey: Oú est? is a great phrase to to keep on the tip of your tongue. You can use it to say things like:
Where’s the bedroom?
Oú est la chambre? ((pause))
Or, when you’re talking about more than one thing:
Where are the condoms?
Oú sont les préservatifs? ((pause))
((sfx))
((subhead)) Speak Up
Alright… let’s see how much you know. How do you say “Yes”? ((pause)) Hope you said:
Oui!
and what about “No”? ((pause)) Hope you said:
No!
Well, that’s an easy one.
And, most importantly, how do you say: “Where's the bathroom?” ((pause)) Hope you said:
Où est la toilette?
