Browser and Timeline.
The Canvas is where you view your project as it is being built. It is your
creative playground.
Whether you are working in Standard or High Definition, NTSC or PAL, the
Canvas represents the type of project you
are working on and is where you lay out and view your titling project as it
is being created.
In the Canvas there are some key interface elements to look at.
When starting a new project, the Canvas contains a dark blue horizontal
line. This represents your default track.
Tracks are what make up your LiveType projects and every element of your
project resides on a track.
Tracks in Live Type define:
• The position of your text and objects in the Canvas
• The layering of elements, and
• In certain cases, the path taken by moving elements.
The Canvas also contains green Title and Action Safe guidelines. These
guides help you make sure your titles can be
seen by your audience when viewed on a television. These can be turned on
or off easily by going to View > Title
Safe.
At the bottom of your Canvas are the Transport Controls. These allow you to
play & pause, move your playhead to
the previous and next frames and to turn looping on or off.
Additionally, the Canvas also contains the Canvas Zoom pop-up menu. This
allows you to quickly change the
magnification of the project your working with.
LiveType is divided into four main windows. The Canvas, Inspector, Media
Browser and Timeline.
