Project Main Details

75th Anniversary TV commercial
Looking for Sam Elliott-type voice, deep, resonant, thoughtful

The scene starts with a man in coveralls walking. He stays in the middle of the screen, seamlessly changing wardrobes and actions throughout the spot as backgrounds from different eras pass by. He starts out in an industrial scene; a large hangar with aircraft being constructed. There are atmospheric sounds and welding sparks creating the atmosphere.

We seamlessly transition to a man in 1930s street clothes walking past some shops. You can see "going out of business" signs in windows. The character is walking through the Great Depression. A paperboy is holding a paper; a sign behind him reads "Japan Attacks Pearl Harbor!"

The scene seamlessly transitions to a WWII Army browns wardrobe walking through downtown Wichita. He slings his duffle bag over his shoulder; he has just arrived back home. Snow begins to fall. The street is busy with cars, bicyclists, and other people walking.

We then go into the 1960s. Our character is in "stylish, but not too hippy" wardrobe. He walks past a group of protestors and a couple sitting on the ground. One is playing the guitar and the other a tambourine. He flips a coin into the guitar case. It starts to rain. He then starts to run.

He is jogging down the sidewalk in shorts and a t-shirt. Passing through crowds of people on the streets.

He transitions into a suit, still jogging. He slows to a walk and pulls out his smart phone. He glances at it and then raises it to his ear and walks off screen to reveal a Meritrust storefront. The camera pushes into the logo on the window.

The best lesson my granddad ever taught me:

People come first. Relationships matter.

In good times or bad, you stand strong. Help others. Always move forward.

Just like *********. Where the priority is on people, more than profit.

*********. Celebrating 75 years of financial service. And still going farther.
