Project Main Details
In an earlier job posting I accidently omitted one important thing: the voices we’re looing for must be British. We need one male and one female to narrate
a 4-5 minute script which will be used on an internal corporate intranet only, for a period of several months to a year.
The male voice will be a young, (20s) somewhat ambitious office worker and the female will be older (40s) and more authoritative. Then in the 2nd half of the script, they'll switch roles, so the actors should be fairly versatile.
We're prepared to receive 2 separate files of the 2 voices, which we will then edit together ourselves. If by any chance there are two people who could record the script together, that would be ideal, but if that's not possible, it's okay. We'd be fine with a raw recording including mistakes, outtakes, and do-overs.
Can you give a price estimate for something like this and also an idea of turnaround time. We will be on a very tight schedule (of course!). If we provide you with the final script on Wednesday, can you send us the audio by Friday?

V1: At Morgan Stanley, YOU are our greatest asset. We care about your health. That is why we are adopting a new absence reporting method, which is called “Healthconnect”.
V2: Right. What’s all this then? (off-mike) Reggie, did you get this one?
V1: Healthconnect is a new phone and web-accessed database that records and tracks sickness absence. ALL employees must now call into it whenever they are out sick.
V2: I wonder why they’re doing this?
V1: Healthconnect will standardise and automate the firm’s procedures for reporting and managing sickness absence, thus reducing costs, and also help expedite our handling of health-related employment benefits, such as the Long Term Disability Scheme.
V2: No worries there.
V1 In addition, as a UK employer, we must comply with the Health and Safety Executive, who is becoming increasingly interested in the proper management of sickness, workplace accident, and stress-related absence.
Healthconnect is ONLY is used for this sort of absence, not for recording holidays, personal days, working at home, or other leave.
V2: Can’t I just call my manager when I’m sick, like before?
V1: You must now use Healthconnect. Once your call is processed, you will be forwarded to your manager’s line, as before.
V2: Right. So, how do I use it, exactly?
V1: Please complete the registration process immediately after this Quick Tour, as follows: Log on to Healthconnect, read and accept the Privacy Policy, and confirm your personal data, including your Absence Manager.
V2: Half a sec! You’ve lost me!
V1: Healthconnect can be accessed at any time by typing “Healthconnect” into your Morgan Browser.
On your first visit, you will create a Private Key. It ensures that only YOU can access your personal data.
Next you must read and accept the Privacy Policy.
V2: And what’s this about?
V1: The Privacy Policy fully explains the objectives and procedures of Healthconnect. You must fully understand the Privacy Policy before using the system. Moreover, to comply with the Data Protection Act, you are required to agree with the policy. So, we have made it part of the registration process.
V2: Carry on.
V1: Finally, confirm your personal details, and choose your Absence Manager…
V2: [Underneath, off mike]. Reg! Pssssst! Who’s our Absence Manager?
V1: You should ensure that the correct manager is listed, and keep this particular information current.
V2: Anything else?
V1: You are now ready to use Healthconnect.
The next time you are off sick, call the Remote Absence Management team on 0800 731 5356, before 9 am. You will be asked why you are out, and when you expect to return.
V2: Must I tell Healthconnect why I’m out?
V1: Recording your specific illness is what allows Healthconnect to produce useful data, which helps us refer you to treatment more quickly, and to adjust our Benefit programs for the greater good of our workforce, and to help the HSE.
If on occasion you do not wish to disclose your specific illness, you do not have to. The call centre will simply mark the reason for your absence as “Undisclosed”.
V2: Right. I feel a bit of something coming on just now.
V1: If you leave the office during the day due to illness, you may also register your absence directly by logging onto Healthconnect. In this case, an email notification will be sent to your manager saying that you will be out, but not why. The latter information is kept confidential.
V2: Who can see why I’m out?
V1: The only Morgan Stanley people who have access to such details are Human Resources and Occupational Health. They will treat this information with the same care as the rest of your personal records.
V2: And what happens with it, again?
V1: Healthconnect has certain automatic “triggers” based on the nature of the absence:
Reason: The “reason for absence” triggers are stress and work-related illness. In these two cases, you will be automatically referred to Occupational Health when you are absent for more than three consecutive days.
Duration and incidence triggers: If your absence is more than five consecutive working days, you must provide the Remote Absence Management team with a GP certificate.
If you are absent for a continuous period of 14 days, or you have a lot of intermittent absence, your case will be referred via Healthconnect through to Occupational Health.
V2: So, it’s about getting me to Occupational Health when I need it?
V1: Yes. As well getting you access to other helpful resources to maintain good health and sanity.
V2: (Whispers) Reg! My computer! It hears what I’m saying!
V1: Also, the firm has a legislated duty of care to you, especially in relation to illnesses protected under the Disability Discrimination Act, and by the Health and Safety Executive. Healthconnect will help us meet this obligation, by giving us greater understanding of work-related ill health, accidents and stress.
