Although the simpler of the two, the cable handling part consists of many small parts which need to be assembled precisely:

The transparent levers are first placed in a spiral conveyor where they are aligned in the correct position and put on the linear transport system. They are then placed two at a time into the fixture of a first rotating index table.

The labels are provided on a roll, with each label precisely defined and in the correct position. They are first centered to assure proper placement and then affixed to the transparent levers. The print of the label will now be visible thru the transparent lever. The labels feature a uniquely large and clear coding which contain the wiring information in vivid color. This makes the wiring easy and reduces the chance of mistakes occurring.

The 4 differently labeled levers are then placed in separate channels of a linear transport system acting as a buffer for increased availability of the assembly line.

From this buffer, the levers are placed in the 4-fold, rotating fixture and the cable housing is mounted on top. 0.6mm thin stainless steel pins are then accurately inserted through the small holes provided both in the cable housing and the levers thus establishing a stabile and robust hinge.

For shielded versions, the shield bayonet is mounted on the cable housing.
Finally the optimized strain relief with double gripper is inserted into the plastic housing. This newly designed strain relief with adaptable side walls effectively holds a wide range of cable sizes, ensuring stable and consistent performance during operation.

At each stage sensors have checked that each step has been performed flawlessly. If an error occurred during the assembly, the faulty parts are sorted out at the end.
The correct cabling handling parts will then go on to an automatic packaging line for distribution into the different variants and packaging sizes.
