VO (switch to female voice):
Unitrends One-for-All Rapid Recovery appliances are simple to set up and easy to use when you need to recover a single deleted file or restore an entire server from a complete crash back to a desired point-in-time in minutes, not hours or days!. Here’s what you do:

Step one. Create a CDROM image of the server and run a Hot Bare Metal backup. Click the client machine (“demo”) and drag it into the bare metal area of the DPU. Create the CDROM image. The appliance finds all the drivers (NIC drivers, hard drive support files, etc.). Select Burn the CD and respond with “Yes.”
[screenshot of files flying by on screen to create bootable CD]
We’ll use this CD to boot the server after a crash.

Did you notice what we just did? We just took a complete snapshot of the server, capturing an image of the Operating System, its settings, registry, passwords, drivers…everything … and … we didn’t have to take the system off-line in order to it. That’s why we call it, a HOT bare metal backup—just one of many distinguishing Unitrends benefits. Of course, COLD bare metal images are also possible, too.

And by the way, you have the option to wait until after a server crash to create the CD. You should also know that Unitrends doesn’t require a bootable CD for file recovery. The CD is only for recovery from a complete server crash.

Scene2

In this first step we’ll also run a bare metal image of all of the applications and their settings. Unitrends Bare metal finds everything, even hidden folders. All of the applications will be safely stored on the DPU. Unitrends creates an exact duplicate of these applications right down to the sector or block level of the disk. This is an important distinction from competing solutions which tend to shortcut around this step. By doing this we will faithfully reproduce your system should it crash. And, Unitrends will do it fast and reliably.

Scene3

Now it’s time to backup all of our files and data. Most Unitrends customers create a master backup set once a week and then every day, create an incremental backup of only those files that changed. Depending upon the installation and backup and restore goals, you may decide to create masters every day. With Unitrends Disk-to-Disk speed (operating up to 9 Gigabytes per minute) it’s possible to do this.

[Need more steps and screen shots here]

We’re now prepared for any failure, error, or catastrophe.

Scene4

Step 3. What happens when the server crashes? [lightning] This is where Unitrends shines. After replacing the hard drive [show hard drive going into server], we’ll boot from the CD we just created. [Animate CD going into server].

Watch your Server come back to life, first booting up into a Linux kernel [show screen].

[show Menu option on screen]. Before we try to put any data on this new drive, we’ll run a quick test to confirm the server can talk to the network, hard drives, and of course, the Unitrends DPU.

[Pls animate a clock or some kind of timeline to show elapsed time of 18 minutes for a complete restore]

Alright! We’re all set!

Let’s get all of our files and applications and settings and passwords…everything, restored.

[Show starting backup, that it’s queued. show real-time monitor, show statistics 7-8 G/min. show success]. We’ll select “Restore all” and select our most recent backup, number zero.

The restore request gets queued and within minutes our server is restored! We’re all set—we’re Back in Business.
