We are a recording a voiceover for a non-profit art gallery located in Bermuda. We are creating a kiosk for visitors (and possibly a website) and will use the voiceover with a short flash animation. We may also include some classical music behind the voice.
We are looking for people who have British accents. Or, people from Bermuda with Bermudian accents. We are looking for people with experience and training.
The piece is around 6 short paragraphs long, less than 1 minute in length.
We are auditioning on Friday, October 21 in the afternoon and Saturday, Oct 22 in the morning.
The pay is $200 for the person who is selected. You will be required to make a second trip to record the final recording. There is no compensation for the audition.
Auditions will take place in a home recording studio on the upper west side.
If you are interested in auditioning, please call or email with your name, phone number, email address, and what day and time you will be coming to audition.
If you have your own recording equipment and would like to send an MP3 audition, please contact me for a script and direction.

Welcome to the magical world of The Masterworks Foundation’s Collection of Bermuda Art. Some sixteen years ago, we focused on the idea to “repatriate” art inspired by the island in its many manifestations. The known visits of Winslow Homer, Georgia O’Keeffe and Andrew Wyeth provided the impetus to investigate Bermuda’s unknown artistic past.
What surfaced was a surfeit of riches. In a very short period of time, we discovered hundreds and hundreds of works by artists who had made their way over the temperamental Atlantic Ocean as well as works created by Bermudian artists.
Today, the Collection includes more than 1000 pieces, and is currently valued in excess of $6 million. It serves as an illustration of the growth of the Island from an historical, ecological and social perspective. The Collection has given rise to an awareness and evaluation that, aside from artistic merit, reveals an island at work and play – an island muse providing many interpretations.
