Project Main Details
We have chosen a lawyer, but we still need a judge and what we're looking for has changed.
We're looking for a voice actor to play a judge character for videogame review segments to be viewed on the Internet. The reviews have a legal theme: a lawyer is making a "case" for how good or bad a videogame is, and the judge is handing down a verdict.
We're now looking for a fairly straight, "judge-ish" read. More Law & Order/The Practice than Picket Fences. Feel free to submit a few different takes in your audition, but give at least two regular judge-sounding reads, and include an additional "character"/casual read if you want.
Looking for ages from 20s up to mid-40s.
You play, enjoy, and understand videogames.
There will be at least nine of these segments produced on a weekly to- semi-weekly basis. Our budget is $150 for the judge. You'll deliver your files via FTP, email, and we might record you using ISDN, but having convenient access to your own mic and recording setup is a requirement.

Lawyer: ...You control an ever-changing team of four mutants, just like…
Judge: Menudo?
Lawyer: ...If you love superheroes that are Marvel-ous…
Judge: Ha ha ha. Clever.
Lawyer: ... action junkies will appreciate the ability to automate this whole process and get straight to the ass whoopin’.
Judge: Sweeeeet!
Lawyer: ...you just know things are about to get grimy.
Judge: Grimy like your clothes, counselor?
Lawyer: It’s a long game, okay? How often do you change that robe?
Judge: Carry on.
Lawyer: ... the game soooooo lacks variety. Witness this: Bunker level. Temple Level. Egypt level. New York level. Robots level. Jungle level.
Judge: I get it. Counselor, tell me, why would those who played the first game be interested in the sequel?
Lawyer: ... it’s got online co-op for Xbox AND PS2!
Judge: Impressive. Your closing comments, counselor?
Lawyer: ... Your Honor, I rest my case.
Judge: Thank God. In the matter of the Gamers of America versus X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, I find the defendant worthy of rental! X-men Legends II, have you anything to say for yourself?
Judge: This court is adjourned.
