Project Main Details
We have been in contact a few times in the past and you sent me your demo a while back when I was making a feature film (but I didnt need any VO at the time).
I am currently working on a corporate video and I am on a tight timeline.
I was wondering if you could give me a quaote for the following work. I will be up front with you in saying this is not a big project (I am videographer, producer, editor, director).
I would like to request a quote for the following work:
This narration is for a 5 minute corporate video for a mining truck manufacturing conmpany in Montreal, Canada.
The narration is to placed over the images and music of the video (narration is primary importance and music + sfx are secondary).
This is a non-union job offer but I do not mind if the talent is union or not. I am the director, producer, editor of the video.
The video is to be distributed to potential clients (via dvd) by the truck company.
Script should be read at a slightly faster than avergae speed.
I could pick up the completed cd or dvd myself or I am also happy to accept the narration via email.

DUX MACHINERY SCRIPT
Humans have been bringing the earth’s riches to the surface through mining since the Stone Age. And although the goal of mining has remained the same throughout time, the methods and technology involved have greatly advanced. Since 1969 one company has managed to adapt to these advances and provide innovative haulage and utility solutions without fail. That company is DUX.
Located on the outskirts of Montreal, Canada, Dux Machinery Corporation designs, manufactures and supplies underground trucks that meet the specific requirements of mining and tunneling projects in many countries worldwide.
All Dux trucks are equipped with clean burning MSHA certified diesel engines ranging from 156 to 575 horsepower, as well as field-proven Dana (pronounced Day-nuh) Spycer Off-Highway powertrain.
Dux is well known for its articulated, four-wheel drive, low profile, underground haulage trucks. Ranging in payload capacity from 10 to 55 tons, these trucks can be completely customized to your particular application.
The field-proven Dux model DT-12 dump truck with 12-ton payload capacity measures only 6-feet wide, making it is easy to maneuver in confined areas and especially well suited for narrow vein mining.
The DT-12 features 70-degree dumping angle for clean and rapid discharge cycles.
As well as a dump box safety bar.
Like all Dux trucks, the DT-26’s easily accessible service points and modular design allow for trouble-free maintenance and fast component exchange.
Dux trucks also come with large-sized oscillation arrangements and heavy-duty roller bearings for minimum maintenance, a smooth ride and 4-wheel ground contact on uneven terrain.
Equipped with 400 horse power Detroit Diesel DDEC (pronounced Dee-deck) engine with electronic control management system, the DUX DT-26 has the highest power-to-weight-ratio in its class, guaranteeing fast tramming up steep ramps.
For maximum safety and reliability, the Dux model DT-26 dump truck with 26-ton payload capacity comes with easy-to-maintain 4-wheel POSI-STOP brakes.
The DT-26 also includes a large, side-seated operator’s compartment for maximum visibility and bi-directional operation and comes with shock-mounted floor for added comfort.
Optional, fully equipped, totally enclosed operator’s cabins with noise suppression and climate control are also available.
Dux haulage trucks are also available with telescopic dump and ejector bodies, which are particularly well suited for areas with very low headings; bringing high capacity hauling to areas previously limited to scoop loaders.
With field-proven telescopic dump body, the Dux model TD-45 teledumper with 45 ton payload capacity requires a drift height of only 12 feet, 6 inches or 3.8 meters to discharge its load
With field proven telescopic dump bodies, Dux teledumpers, in 26 and 45 ton payload capacity models, can discharge their loads under very low drift heights.
Dux ejector trucks come with pusher arrangement, thereby eliminating the need to dump. Models such as the ET-33 with 33-ton payload capacity can offer effective loading and dumping in headings as low as 8 feet or 2.4 meters.
And that’s not all, with a fine team of engineers and skilled workers Dux also offers:
- Boom trucks
- Maintenance trucks
- Scoop loaders
- Multi-purpose cassette systems
- Shotcreeting systems
- Personnel carriers
- Scissor lift trucks
- And state of the art scalers
Careful management of suppliers, process control, and component identification and traceability form the basis of the Dux TQM program. Prior to leaving the DUX plant, every truck sold undergoes rigorous testing to ensure all quality and performance requirements are met.
But DUX doesn’t just sell products, we also provide innovative service. All Dux trucks come with on-site commissioning, as well as intensive training for operators and maintenance personnel by certified Dux technicians.
Versatility is one of our greatest strengths and as such we offer models available in “kit” configuration”. These models come supplied with a Dux supervisor, ready to assemble the truck underground if need be.
We are also very committed to offering rapid after-sales support, and parts back up through our worldwide network of agents and distributors.
Dux always keeps in mind the demands of the market and we have the technology, tools and expertise to deliver, on short notice, equipment tailored to your needs, budget and application. There are many reasons why Dux has been thriving in this industry since 1969 and those reasons are evident from the initial design to the delivered product and after-sales service that comes with all Dux trucks.
