BMW Experience Audition Active safety Male announcer: ACTOR’S NOTES: This DVD is all about BMW innovations in the automobile industry from the past to the present, showing all facets of design, production, performance and safety. We are looking for a less corporate delivery style but still one with some punch and excitement. The tone should be one of astonishment and pride in all BMW's accomplishments. We can record this by phone patch and receive files by FTP. Total script is about 30 min. Budget is $1500 US. Email me MP3 demo or FTP location. We will be recording late September or October.

YesN/A Over the decades, BMW has built a reputation unmatched by any other auto maker for its nimble handling, agile cornering, rapid acceleration and powerful braking. These characteristics that make your BMW a joy to drive are also engineered to enhance your control. BMW has pioneered electronic systems than can anticipate a situation and react faster than a driver possibly could. In an emergency, sudden maneuvers can result in a loss of grip. That’s why BMW has developed Dynamic Stability Control, and is constantly expanding its capabilities. Here at BMW’s proving ground in winter, the driver demonstrates the new DSC technologies on the 3 Series. If the vehicle begins to veer off the path you’ve indicated with the steering wheel, DSC can intervene to regulate engine power and apply the brakes to individual wheels to help restore control. “Brake drying” detects wet conditions and applies gentle pressure to dry the brakes for maximum effectiveness. The “Start off assistant” prevents rollback on a hill. “Soft stop” and “Modulated ABS” both result in smoother stopping. “Brake standby” can detect the possible need for emergency braking and take action to snug up the brake pads against the rotors before your foot even touches the brake!
