“A Nosy Neighbor”
SFX: Screen door bangs. Birds chirp, cars drive by, dogs bark,
other suburban outdoor sounds in background throughout.
NEIGHBOR: Hey howdy neighbor. Uh, is that your microwave you’re carrying?
CARRY-IN CUSTOMER: Yeah, it stopped working.
NEIGHBOR: So you’re…?
CUSTOMER: So I’m taking it to Sears Parts & Repair Center to get it fixed.
NEIGHBOR: Sears Parts & Repair Center fixes microwaves?
CUSTOMER: Yeah. And snow throwers and sewing machines and DVDs and
pretty much anything else you can bring ‘em. Even if you didn’t buy them at Sears.
NEIGHBOR: No kidding. I broke the blade on my lawn mower – can they fix that?
CUSTOMER: Sure, just bring it in.
NEIGHBOR: My vacuum cleaner?
CUSTOMER: Bring it in.
NEIGHBOR: And my combination washer and dryer.
CUSTOMER: [PAUSE] For that, I think they’re going to have to come visit you. ANNOUNCER: If you can carry it in, Sears Parts & Repair Center can fix it.
