Customer: Hi, we’re launching a new product line and I need some help.
(Snooty and curt)
Receptionist: Please Hold
(still frou-frou and snooty female voice, but different than the receptionist voice, with an impersonal voice recording type feel. Recording appears to be running then cuts to fabio. To drive home that it’s a voice recording I would love to have muzak playing in the background – maybe something that sounds like it should be playing at some tripped-out over-rated NY club. If that type of Muzak is too hard to get I suppose that we could go for classical )
Hold Recording: “Frou-Frou advertising is the premier marketing agency in your area. We’re so elite that only the coolest companies are lucky enough to pay inflated prices for our services. We demonstrate our superior service by assigning eight project managers to every job – you never have to worry about working with just one contact person. Here we. . . ”
(Totally narcissistic – that stereo-typical over-the-top frou-frou male designer affect – but not flaming. Have you ever seen ‘the Incredible’ cartoon – the hilarious designer is there captures the feeling I’m going for. Only this is a male voice)
