We’ll tell you who we are and what our background is, and answer some questions commonly asked by investors like yourself.

Terry Kerr and Ray Porter’s business is real estate investing. They know that it is their passion and dedication towards the pursuit of profitable real estate projects that has ensured their many successes. Ray Porter has been investing in real estate for 18 years. Ray currently owns and manages three large apartment complexes, an office complex, and many single family houses. He also co-owns with Terry Kerr a sizable piece of property in the South Main district of downtown Memphis where they are currently developing an upscale condominium building. Ray’s experience and expertise in creating profit through “added value” projects is undeniable. All three of the apartment complexes that he owns and operates as well as his office buildings were purchased in non-performing, dilapidated condition. Through his knowledge of construction, renovation, and business management, he has been able to duplicate his successes one after the other to create a cash flow and net worth into the many millions.
Ray is also the president of the Memphis Investors Group, a non-profit organization with over 500 members, dedicated to the education and networking of individuals in the Memphis real-estate investment community.
His partner, Terry Kerr, has been buying, renovating, and selling investment property for the past four years. Since January of this year (in the last 8 months), Terry has bought, renovated, and is in the process of selling his 23rd piece of real estate. He is also currently renovating an apartment building in the “Uptown” district of downtown Memphis, purchased with capital provided by private investors.
