Public Lead - 398818 - (Client name), a video game company...
398818
(Client name), a video game company for the home PC, is creating a game called "Children of the Nile".
We are looking for non-union voice over actors to be the voices of Ancient Egyptian characters in our game (just the voices, no visuals). As an estimate, 12-15 unique voice actors & actresses are needed for 60-70 characters in the game. Approx. 80% of the characters are male, 15% female and 5% children (can be either a boy's or girl's voice). For all characters, you will need (or need to perform) a convincing egyptian accent.
Also, one narrator is needed for in-game "scenario briefings". This narrator will read somewhere between 60-80 reads of 3-4 short paragraphs each. The role requires a male "Yul Brynner"-style voice (think “The Ten Commandments”). There is sample narrator text at the bottom of this email.
There may also be a need for a female narrator, though it is undetermined at this time.
Recording is tentatively scheduled between July and August, but voice talent choices will be finalized by the end of May. Soon after that time, we will respond to you via email with our decision. We will also keep your contact information on file should another game project come up, and you wish to audition/demo for it.
If your demo is on the web, please send a link
Or, if you have a home setup, please record a few of the sample lines below for consideration (there will be hundreds of lines such as these in the game):
Thanks again for your interest!
Sincerely,
Keith Zizza

NARRATOR – SAMPLE PARAGRAPH:
“From time immemorial the river of life has bestowed its blessings upon your people. its waters teem with fish; upon its banks grow lush groves of wild fruit trees. Indeed, your people will never want for food and sustenance. But still, they could be so much more than simple hunters and scavengers. You must lead them to greatness. Focus and guide them to build mighty cities and to erect monuments of splendor that glorify the nation of Egypt. Show your subjects, and all that come after, what it means to be ruled by a god.”
