Project Description:
Wild Earth: African Plains Edition is a fully interactive, motion-based, photo-safari attraction for the museum, zoo, aquaria, FEC, LBE and theme park market. Two guest “Volunteers”, a driver and a photographer, are guided through the adventure by two guide characters, Prof. Ron N. Wilde and the Journalist, Sarah N. Getty. These are the characters you will provide voiceover for.
The entire adventure happens in the confines of a rattling safari vehicle that is lurching across the plains, fording rivers and jumping rocks. The Prof. and Sarah must sometimes shout from the back seat to be heard over the trumpeting elephants and roaring engine. Video can be provided of sample ride experiences [in English], but because of the interactive, and therefore unpredictable, nature of the experience, the voiceover should not be created to synchronize with the sample video.
It is a fast-paced, lively 3.5 minute adventure. There are 3 major story branches, each with a sub branch, for a total of 6 story variations with significant script overlap. The final script [formatted, with notes and direction comments] is 44 pages and over 4500 words. The actual lines for both characters are about 11 pages and 2200 words total [unformatted and without notes]. 1 Male Character, Spanish language, non-union:
Prof. Ron. N. Wilde is a middle-aged veteran of many years in the rough, wild world. He’s a healthy male specimen from the American Southwest. He has a sense of humor. He’s the source for useful info, a quick factoid, or a bad joke at just the right time.

1 Female Character, Spanish language, non-union:
Sarah N. Getty is a smart, metropolitan journalist, on assignment in the wild Serengeti for the first time. She is in her mid-thirties. She is the naive voice of the guest Volunteers, asking the questions they might, if they could. Sarah has read about the Serengeti, but has no direct experience, so her knowledge is “book” knowledge, sometimes applied incorrectly. She’s ready for adventure and not afraid of it, but she is in awe of what she sees. She’s European. She’s young at heart, but not a child.

Deliverables:
Audio files in .wav format, 16 bit, mono, 44kHz, PCM uncompressed
Each line saved as a separate file, using the following naming convention: X_Ynna_Z_Tn, where X= P or S for Professor or Sarah, Ynna = alphanumeric code given for each line in the script after the character name, Z=A,B,C… [and so on] for the line within the Ynna section, Tn=the take number if alternate takes are provided for a given line.
For example, in the following script sample #1, the second take of the Professor’s second line, starting with, “O, no le preste atención, “ would be named: P_B01_B_T2.wav. A solitary take of his third line would be named: P_B01B_A.wav
The files could be delivered to an FTP site. A CD overnight/second-day is preferred.
A phone patch for the recording is preferred for monitoring and directing the session. We are located on the US East Coast.
Delivery is immediate. The final files are due by May 31st.
