Our shows air on Speed, Spike and video-on-demand broadcaster, Mag Rack.
We are looking for a young (late 20s to early 40s), male, N. American, non-regional specific VO talent to do narration for one of our automotive shows. These 6-8 minute segments are informative yet entertaining in their style and the VO needs to reflect the enthusism that our viewers have for this subject.
Keywords I might suggest - enthusiastic, slightly authoritative, energetic, 'smiley' - as in read with a bit a of a smile in the voice. Nothing too deep/bass. A bit of attitude, but not 'dude-ish'. Basically you're someone who loves cars! However, this is not an infomercial and we don't want to sound like we're 'selling' the car.
VOs are recorded once a month. We normally record 3 segments in one session, which takes around 1.5 hours.
Talent needs to be able to travel to our offices in West L.A. to record the VO sessions.
This is a non-union job and the rate is $375 per session regardless of duration or number of segments recorded.
We need to find a new VO talent quickly so demos should ideally be emailed in MP3 format or similar. If CDs can arrive in the next couple of days, that's fine too.
