Public Lead - 2159813 - :: How is the audio going to be...
2159813
:: How is the audio going to be used?
The audio will be used in a web-based rock and roll trivia game for a major music equipment manufacturer. This game will have audio in two areas. The first area is for a sarcastic, witty, “game show host” which will introduce the game level, and comment on the players answers and final score. Similar to the “You don’t Know Jack” game from the mid-nineties or “The Weakest Link”.
The second area of game audio will be 5 -: 30-second commercial spots between lessons describing various products relating to the music industry. The audio needs be bright and informational but not “over the top” in any way. (That is the role of the “Game show Host”)
:: Gender, age and union status of the talent needed.
Client is initially thinking male, for the “game show host” however an exceptional female could change their minds.
For the Commercial spots client is looking for either male or female.
Non-union is OK. Voice should fit either of the two areas above.
:: Any script and budget you may have in mind.
The script will be approximately 8 minutes in final length for the “game show host” , and the budget is $300. A good portion of the “game show host” will consist of “one liners” and “zingers” along with some longer spoken paragraphs.
The commercial voice will be approximately 2.5 - 3 minutes in length and the budget is $150.
If the talent has a good voice range between the two characters we will allow the talent to perform both roles for a combined budget of $450.
:: How should the audio be recorded?
Chosen talent will record in their studio and will cover all associated expenses.
:: Where should the audio be delivered?
To the website, audio needs to be a downloadable file as it will be sent to the client via email for review and selection. MP3 Preferred

Game Show Host: (Feel free to improvise comments for this section to best show your range, but also throw in one or more of these lines for a standard look between talent. Also have FUN with this character)
“Nice play Shakespeare! You know you ARE supposed to think about the questions before answering.
"Maybe you should give up listening to rock and switch to something a little more dorky"
You are definitely no Ken Jennings…but I like the shape of your head…. let’s go to the second round.
"Congratulations, I never thought anyone could be a rock-nerd! Maybe you should get out more…"
Commercial Spot:
A favorite choice of the world's top entertainers, the SM87A condenser microphone features a smooth frequency response that's specifically tailored for warm, rich, vocal reproduction. In response to user requests, Shure has redesigned this microphone by slightly thickening the handle for a more comfortable feel and including a break-resistant swivel adapter.

Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
