"Attrition, The Silent Killer.
For business owners, attrition can sometimes mean the difference between a profitable company and a floundering one."

"Managing Attrition may seem like an old-school problem but today it can be the best indicator of future success.
Harold used to own an alarm company just like you. But thanks to careful planning and managing his attrition, he was able to sell his alarm business and comfortably retire.
In order to manage attrition you first need to understand what is it and why it happens.
Simply put, Gross Attrition is the percentage of your total accounts that cancel over a set period of time. Net Attrition factors in new customers gained over the same accounts gained over the set period that directly replace lost accounts.
Attrition is an important metric to keep track of. Besides providing your business with a both a steadier and higher Recurring Monthly Revenue or RMR, it can also greatly affect the value of your business.
When it comes time to sell your accounts or your business as a whole potential buyers will examine your attrition rate to determine how much they’re willing to offer. The higher your attrition the less they’ll be willing to pay for your accounts."
