Project Main Details
The course consists of 37 units (varying in 1-3 minutes per unit) and I have included the script for the first unit which I am using as a proof of concept to the King Family here in Atlanta who are sponsoring the work and who are looking to partner with the Department of Education if the pilot proves successful.
I have included the draft script for the first lesson (the others will be similar in length).
My preference is for a female voice that appeals to children (K-12) on a level they can identify with but must be able to exude a certain air of authority about the subject matter.
The delivery will have to be back to me in MP3 format for each unit.
My budget is $800 for the 37 units of the pilot. All 37 scripts would be supplied up front (after this initial one) and would be an average word count of no more than 400 words per unit. I would allow for some minimal rework (10%) after delivery. The successful candidate is likely to get significant repeat business as we regularly have requirement for voice-over both with this client and from our wider client base.

At the early age of five, Dr. King dedicated his life to God and joined his family church – Ebenezer Baptist Church – during the spring revival. As he reflected, “The church has always been a second home for me. As far back as I can remember, I was in church every Sunday. My best friends were in Sunday school, and it was the Sunday school that helped me to build the capacity for getting along with people.”
Martin had an older sister, Christine and a younger brother, Alfred Daniel (A.D.) King. Mrs. Christine King Farris is an Associate Professor at Spelman College, the Vice Chair, Treasurer of The King Center, an active public speaker, and the author of a book about her brother called, “My Brother Martin.” A.D. King was an ordained minister.
