(Please note that Voice123 screens all projects before approving them, but does not proofread the project name, description, or script provided by the voice seeker) I am interested in getting an idea of the talent available for doing voice-over narration of technical training material for a software company. My company uses a technology called Breeze (from Macromedia), which entails the recording of audio at a computer set up with PowerPoint and a special Breeze plug-in. The recording can take place anywhere and would be passed back and forth by ftp (computer transfer). Modules can range from 10 to 40 minutes real time and the number of modules that make up a course can be anywhere from 3 to 10. I am interested in contracting out by the course.
I am looking for a native speaker of English, either male or female. Experience in high-tech jargon is desirable and knowledge of software and information technology would be a bonus. You would receive a written script, with phonetic keys for specialized terms. You can stop and restart narration if needed (i.e. "take-two's") as hiccups and false starts will be edited out on our side. You will be required to have a computer with PowerPoint 2003 installed with professional quality microphone and recording environment. Assume that we will supply the Breeze plug-in.
I am looking to get a per hour quote for recording in this manner, along with an idea of how much narration you can do in one sitting. For example, can you do 6 hours of narration in a day or does it need to be spread out over a few days.
