Male: (loud) The King County Library System
Female: Shhhh
Male: (softer, but intense) Oh, yes, of course. The King County Library System is asking for our help. You see, it ís one of the busiest library systems in the country. In fact 4 out of every 5 King County resident has a library card!
Female: It ís wonderful to have so many using our libraries.
Male: So to keep pace, on September 14 this primary ballot is a renewal of the 1988 Library bonds, and the good news is that the renewal is at a lower cost to taxpayers!
Female: Less costly than in 1988? That IS good news! What will the new bonds do?
Male: The new Library Bonds will improve every one of our 43 community libraries from maintenance, repairs and upkeep to adding new books and materials to replacing 16 old or inadequate libraries to building three new libraries in un-served communities.
Female: As librarians save good libraries mean good communities!
