I am looking for a soft, almost computerized voice to record an introduction to a music CD. The voice I have in mind is similar to that of the computer program in the movie "Simone" starring Al Pacino. The closest thing we've found to our ideal sound is text-to-speech programs which will speak whatever text is typed into it. Unfortunately text-to-speech programs scarcely provide natural sounding voices and often words are pronounced in an unnatural way. So a REAL voice is our ultimate decision.
The voice should be female, young adult but not childish in sound (25-30 years) and the accent should be English speaking American. The introduction should be recorded at a natural, steady pace and should be generally but not strictly mono-toned. The recording and voice should be soft, PURE and clear in sound as the final product may be slightly manipulated to achieve the computerized effect we're trying to achieve. That said, obtaining the final audio in wave or MP3 format (at least 160kbps.) would be ideal.
As this is our first time untilizing this service (we received a highly-energized referral) we have no real budget set aside for this particular aspect of our project but since this introduction is key to the project, we have decided it a necessary expense.
Below is the script we need recorded. Again, this is the introduction to a modern praise CD so there is a very contemporary and non-traditional vibe we're presenting with the rest of the album. Keep in mind, music and ambient, cosmic sounds will be tracked beneath this monologue so the voice projection should be soft but brilliant, steady and the words clear.
