Script Details
CASTING SPECS FOR KATHY: She’s a woman in her she’s late-thirties to early forties who just wants to give her family a traditional thanksgiving meal. Unfortunately Murphy’s law is giving her a hand in the kitchen. And as this day from hell progresses, she gets more and more hysterical. Until she finally gives up and delivers the last line with all the sarcasm she can muster.
SCRIPT:
KATHY:
6:30 am, Thanksgiving Day. I drag myself out of bed to put the turkey in the oven.
9:00 I look for the bag of giblets and remember it’s still in the turkey.
11:00 I find cat paw prints in all 4 pies.
Noon: my apron catches fire. Mike uses the extinguisher. Foam goes everywhere.
1 o’clock. Turkey’s done, I just don’t know it.
2:30 I take the turkey out of the oven. It’s black.
2:31 I see my sister snicker.
3:00 I catch the dog burying the dinner rolls in the back yard.
3:30 we all sit down to a dinner of sloppy Joes and chips.
