Voice Description

I have a natural baritone, but i can hit other ranges to.the majority of my work has been based in musical situations using more of a warm soothing sexy delivery mostly over jazz. but i have worked with various singers and rappers lending my voice to hooks on their songs for more warmth and power. i've done narrations and introductions through my freelance djing from wedding receptions, bauquets etc, and i've been gaining more experience through school doing various commercials, where i can be over the top or laid back whatever suits the client.

My Voice Experience

Alot of my voiceover experience dates back to 1985 when i stated djing from high school talent shows to night clubs.i learned the art of delivery and diction from the early years of playing parties for different age groups having to be able to project on the mic and segue into the next song.

My Training

I am currently attending specs howard school of broadcast arts i also have 25 years of freelance/ mobile dj experience along with stage perfoming,i've used my voice in many situations from wedding receptions,music projects, commercials,pre production studio work remixing and editing.

My Studio Equipment

my personal home studio consists of a tascam digital multitrack recorder, two technics 1200 turntables, a rane ttm 56 mixer,a numark 1700 pre amp mixer, marantz cdr 630,shure mics, peavey cs 800 power amp,technics 5 disc cd changer, two peavey ds 300 speakers, art tube mic preamp, sony and proformance dual cassette decks,philips 642 dvd player, yamaha keyboard dell 2400 pc, adobe audition 1.5 sennheiser headphones, music library with an unlimited amount of vinyl,cd's and cassettes ranging from traditional jazz, classic rock,top 40, and hip hop.

Additional Skills

alot of my mixing and recording skills i've aquired over the years from djing, i think fits in very well with voiceovers being able to set levels and add music or sound effects in sections whenever needed, also having worked and performed on stage with singers, rappers, jazz and rock musicians improved my listening skills and i learned how to use my voice more like an instrument.
