Voice Description

I am fully billingual in Spanish (my native tongue),and English in which I have studied since nusery school. In English, I can effectively imitate, Chinese, British, African American, Indian (from India), an American Southern accent, an Eastern American accent and a Hispanic English. Because I studied French in high school and have a good ear for languges, I can more than adequately imitate a French person. My narration work for a children's audio adventure production, currently sold through Wal-Mart, highlights my capability for simulating interest and excitement. At the other extreme,recording scientific vignettes currently broadcast on some 850 Spanish stations throughout the world emphasize the seriousness and clarity necessary to communicate difficult material in an understandable and listerner friendly manner. Additionally, I am capable of generating excellent voice mail recordings containing a number of menu options which feature the warmth and genuineness requisite for such work.

My Voice Experience

In the past, I have served as the voice for the president of a neutriceutical company in the San Diego, Caifornia area on audio productions intended to serve as promotional and training materials. Furthermore, I have done several voice overs on videos produced by Medfilms an Arizona based company. I was responstible for translating hte material from English to Spanish, and for the recording of same. These films were distributed nationwide and were used for the purpose of training hospital staff with regard to Airborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and hazardous materials. One such film received presedential recognition. I am currently narrating a children's audio production for Vision Forum, a Dallas company (in English). Also, I periodically record 45 90-second programs in Spanish for the Institute for Creation Research in Santee, California.

My Training

To this point, I have received no formal training in voice over work or comunications other than speech and debate classes in high school and college. However, what I do possess, is a very good ear for accents, and voice inflections. Furthermore, I am an experienced public speaker and teacher, performing such tasks at least three times a week for several hours at a time.
