I've done radio for many years, needing different pitches and tones, depending on the station. I've been on the air in the UK and in the US. I've worked in London, Bern (Switzerland), Boston and Los Angeles. My most exciting gig was in pirate radio in London and Manchester, UK. Back in the 80's it was illegal, but something ALL aspiring radio announcers did, and, ironically, what you had to do to advance into legitimate radio.
I've worked in talk radio and music radio. I've also worked in TV, winning awards for a music video show I produced and hosted.
I have never formally learned this trade. I learned to use my voice in different ways over the last 18 years Because it was required. I love to play with the different tones and nuances of my voice. I have degrees in Political Science and Russian, Broadcast Journalism, and am now doing an M.B.A.
I have access to top-of-the-line audio equipment through my daily radio work.
I am very versatile, and love to play with my voice. Sometimes it does things I don't want it to, but then I get it back in line again!!
