My Voice Experience
After crash landing on earth I learned two very important things: 1) planets with a nickel-iron core should not be run into at high velocities and B) I have a knack for voice acting and mimicry.
Please note that my voice acting is limited to voices that sound like humans. And some animals. And some inanimate objects. And musical instruments. But at this time I am not doing plant voices! This includes potatoes.
Partial client list: Sears, Harley-Davidson, Oberweis Dairy, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, SC Johnson (Scrubbing Bubbles), Ryland Homes, Sara Lee and Caterpillar to name a few.
My Training
Traveling to earth from other galaxies isn't all hyperspace and Bumper Asteroids. No, there's quite a bit of down time. So, I "phoned ahead", beamed back a plethora of your earthly entertainment and I watched. And listened. And repeated. Over and over.
And then I learned. About the Biz as it were. About how to stand in front of a microphone. About how to use the mic boom to whack somebody in the noodle and blame it on the guy standing next to you. All valuable skills, but not so much as learning how to just do what needs to be done. This I did at Bosco Productions in Chicago, and in many a laughter-filled session with Glenn Haines.

Additional Skills
While not pretending to be a human being, I've taken on a number of "jobs" that have had a close proximity to voice acting, acting, writing and the like. These include producing video games, producing a documentary on the (ahem) subject of alien abductions, working at Second City and doing a whole lot of writing.
