I my early days of radio, I was an on-air disc jockey and later was moved into radio spot announcement production which, not only consisted of doing 80% of the production for an AM/FM Operation (WNSL, Laurel, Mississippi) but recorded spot announcements for the local market. I then branched-out into doing regional spots for Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Pace Concerts, local auto parts, local car dealers and later became a local ABC radio reporter when necessary. I later went to work for the NASA's Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas and worked for the Space Agency until I got back into broadcasting doing News/Traffic reporting for Metro Networks/Westwood One here in Houston, Texas. I began picking-up various mom and pop advertising accounts ( a few but not as I would like to have) over the past two or three years; however, I hope my narration and voice-over opportunities will increase. Oh, by the way, I did a project for the Learning Channel called "Walk On" in the 1990s and I am listed in the Internet Movie Database as Tony Myrick.
While in High School and College, I worked on the newspaper and annual publications. I audited those journalism classes along with putting myself theough college working in radio. I went to Jones County Junior College (1971-1973), Ellisville, MS and graduated with a BS Degree is Sociology/Psychology from William Caarey University, 1975. I have post BS studies in Computer Information Systems.
I have a Sure mike mixer and record onto Compact Disc and a HP Media Computer with Cool Edit Pro to do my final mixing.
I have a syndicated radio, Transmissions from Mars, that airs on KPFT, 90.1 FM, HD Channel 2, Sunday's at 11:00 p.m., Houston, Texas and is broadcast per internet link world-wide.
