My Voice Experience

I have worked in the media industry approximately 14 years in my country of Trinidad in the Caribbean. We have many foreign ad agencies based in Trinidad which I work for such as Mc Cann Erickson, Ingelfield and Ogilvy,Ross advertising to name a few.

I worked as an announcer on Radio at three major radio stations (95.1fm the rock, from the T.B.C network in Trinidad for 5 years) ( 6 years at Hott 93 formerly owned by Cumulus Broadcasting of the U.S. now locally owned) and (2 years as a manager at Life Radio.) I announced, interviewed, did promos, ads, features and delivered news at all three stations. I also co-hosted a womens' programme for 2 years (Trinidad Style) on a local Television station "Gayelle" the channel.

I have also hosted many events such as seminars,product launches,competitions etc.

I have for the past 14 years done various voice ads for many companies for play on both radio and television.

My voice is currently being used on a few voice systems in Tnt

4. Nigel R Khan booksellers.
5. Citibank.
6. I recently did a recording for DHL.

I can safely say that I am an established voice in Trinidad and Tobago and to some extent regionally.

My Training

I have to admit that I have never been formerly trained, it is most certainly a gift from God (for which I am truly grateful) especially since I am able to earn a living from it.

I have been asked by a few schools over there to lecture to their students, unfortunately I don't see myself as an educator in that field. The students of the schools however were told by their lecturers to tune into me on the radio to learn from my delivery. (When I was told of this i was very flattered).

I did however do a couple drama classes in High School.

I do not own a studio since I have no great desire to do so, however being in the business for so many years, I do know many studio owners who I work with on a regular basis.
