Voice Description
I have been told that I have good inflections in my voice to make listening interesting. I have an upbeat style that is good for radio promos if we are trying to get the attention of the listener. I enjoy reading stories to little children so I know how to make something sound scary, exciting, quiet, loud, ominous, etc.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
My English communication skills are excellent. My diction is crisp and clear. I provide an interest inflection in my voice that keeps the listener interested. I can exude enthusiasm for any product that I would be representing, and even be an inspiration that would encourage potential customers.
My Voice Experience
I have been the "voice" of a number of companies for their voicemail systems. I think it's important when you call a company that the voice recording is inviting and friendly ... it speaks a lot about the company's priorities when it comes to wanting a customer or even a cold-caller to be "invited into their world". The voicemail operator tends to reflect the personality of the company. When I ventured out to begin concert promotions, I wanted to do something a little different so when I was bringing a particular music group from the States, I created a 3-minute DVD that included concert clips, songs and MY VOICEOVER, inviting people to come to the concert. This was handed out for free at a couple of trade shows. As part of my promotional plan, I also contacted a local radio station. They invited me into their studio for a live on-air interview to talk about the upcoming concert, and I received tremendous feedback from several friends who heard me on the air, stating that they hadn't realized how great my voice really sounded out in public; it was through these comments that I was encouraged to pursue voice-over work.
My Training
I have taken a few seminars in how to communicate effectively. I studied piano lessons for six years. I would be more than happy to participate in any type of training that might be suggested to improve my current talents.
My Studio Equipment
My brother works at a local television station and worked with me to put together the concert DVD that was created, duplicated and disseminated to several sources. He has equipment with which I could use to record various projects.
Additional Skills
I used to work with one of North America's largest movie theatre circuits in the marketing and promotions department. I was asked to be the "voice" of this company when callers called in seeking recorded movie listings.
For 10 years I have been the editor of the quarterly newsletter that is produced out by the Motion Picture Theatre Associations of Canada.
In my spare time I am a Mystery Shopper. I represent a company that has been given the mandate to send out discreet energetic individuals with a great memory to visit public establishments, with a set criteria to be measured with regards to customer service, and I report back with my findings, whether it be a restaurant, a women's retail store, or even an oil-change garage!
I have collected MOOSE since I was a teenager. I lived in the northern part of the country for a few years and found these animals to be very quirky and silly-looking, yet oh-so-interesting, and thus they have endeared themselves to me over the years.
I won a radio contest with a grand prize of a trip to the Orient (Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok). I was called live on the air when they notified me that I was the grand prize winner and the station enjoyed my enthusiastic reaction so much that they replayed a clip from that exchange for a few days after, as a positive reinforcement that they indeed have great prizes to give away and hence this is the radio station worth listening to!
I am an enthusiastic person who loves to laugh. I have excellent written and oral communication skills in the ENGLISH language. I look forward to enhancing my current strengths with more experience, to see if I can be of assistance to any companies who might be looking for my type of talent. Thanks for considering me !!!!!
