Voice Description

My voice is my livelihood. I am a trial attorney by trade, so my voice must fill a courtroom (where acoustics are not necessarily the greatest) and must reach my target audience, i.e., the judge and jury.

I have lost count of how many times people have complimented me on my voice or have told me that I sound like I should be on radio. My voice is fairly deep and very clear and is a booming voice that projects and resonates.

Importantly, I have tremendous range with my voice. I am able to mimic many sounds, speech paterns and accents. Having been born and reared in the New York City area, I have an ability to speak quickly, without sacrificing clarity.

I am able to mimic accurately accents from around the U.S., including multiple southern accents, Northeast (Boston, New York), as well as Buffalo and Midwest accents. I can accurately mimic Irish and British accents, Chinese, Russian, German, Italian and Indian accents.

I am also able to do a variety of cartoon voices.

My Voice Experience

As a trial attorney, I spend a good deal of my time in the courtroom. Knowing the facts and the law is obviously critical to success as a trial lawyer. But presentation is just as important. My voice is a tremendous part of my presentation. I need for the judge and jury to hear me clearly and to pay attention to what I have to say. Having a strong voice and an ability to make people want to listen is one of my greatest strengths.

My Training

I have no formal training whatsoever. Your voice is something you're born with, as is your personality and professionalism. These are inate qualities that simply cannot be learned in a classroom. You either have these talents, or you don't.

I have these three key talents: A strong voice, a strong personality and a strong sense of professionalism.
