Voice Description
If you close your eyes and think of a beautiful, sunshine-filled day... that's the best way I think I can describe my voice. My personality is very fun-loving, optimistic, girl-next-door type. This very much comes out when one hears my voice. So the words that describe it best would be: fun, upbeat, positive.
I speak English. I have taken both Spanish (1 year) and German (3 years), so I am capable of reading a script with either of those languages. I am also capable of sounding really goofy or dorky if that's what you'd like. My dialect is primarily mid-west American English.

My Voice Experience
I am a novice at voice-over work, and constantly working on improving. The experience I have with doing "voice-work" was working at my college radio station from 2001-2004, with a year and a half of that doing the Morning Show. Now being out of school, I am working Full-Time for Way-FM Media Group doing production work and have recorded various spots and promos that need a female voice for the stations in our network.
Also, for the Way-FM station that I work at (WAYM), I was the host and producer of the Mid-South Spotlight, which was our public affairs program--interviewing a new non-profit organization weekly. I did this for about a year.
My Training
I have my Bachelor of Arts in Radio Broadcasting/Audio Production from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. I received a certificate of completion from the Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, OH for Audio Production and the Recording Arts.
When I was in college, I attended a GMA (Gospel Music Association) Week and learned quite a few tips at some of the seminars they had. The classes I had in college, in particular, Media Performance, was an excellent medium to help me learn how to use my voice for each potential voice-over project out there: PSAs, Commercials, Narration. I also believe my Oral Interpretation class helped a great deal with expanding the range of what my voice is capable of doing regarding different character voices and feeling the meaning behind what I am reading.
