My Voice Experience

I read the NY times on-air for InTouch Network in New York City for several years to an audience of blind and visually impaired people around the world, reaching approximately 10 Million people each week.

I have done radio spots for stations and for advertisers; web spots for LifeFone and Priceline, and regularly do IVR recordings for local and national companies, including AXA Assistance USA, Inc and their clients. and Orchestr8. I co-announced for the 2008 -2009 Addy Awards Ceremony of Greater Ft. Lauderdale. I also do freelance, improv work doing pre-recorded as well as live radio comic skits that air on radio stations throughout the country. Lately, I have been recording voiceover for ad testing for The Word Doctors doing market research for their Fortune 500 clients.

I am a singer, mostly Jazz, and am comfortable in front of an audience. I have performed lead roles in a number of amateur theater musicals. I have an instinct for what the audience wants to see and hear.

I am professional. That means I arrive on time and I come prepared. I am flexible and focused on delivering a quality product. I love this work.

My Training

I studied Voiceover at The Voice Bank with Charles Michel in New York City. Most recently, I have been working with a successful and highly experienced Voice Actor in LA who has been coaching me.


I have been studying singing off and on for about 15 years starting when I was 16. I began at the Hart School of Music in Hartford, CT, continued at Tufts University, worked with cabaret coaches in Manhattan, and am now studying and recording with Matt Kramer at the Kramer Voice Company in South Florida. I am performing occasionally in local venues in the area.

My Studio Equipment

I work with two studios in South Florida and thus have easy access to:

ISDN connections
Surroundsound mixing
Ability to send ADR tracks in real time
Ability to time code on an additional channel to synch equipment

I can also record from home using a Snowball microphone and GarageBand software. I can send MP3 files from home with reasonably good quality.

Additional Skills

I have a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Colubmia University.

In addition to vocal work, I do communications consulting for Fortune 100 Companies, helping them find the right message, the right words, and the right channels in which to communicate them to connect with employees, customers, and the communities in which these companies and their people live and work. I know how to reach and motivate people. I am real, and people respond to sincerity.

Before this current job, I've had extensive experience marketing financial services products, primarily credit card services, to people in North and South America. I understand the emotional truths that connect people to a product, a brand, and a company. I've worked extensively with advertising agencies on marketing campaigns. I know that the effective delivery of emotional truths - the ability to connect with the listener - is what makes or breaks a voiceover performance.
